SAN DIEGO (AP) — Kareem Jamar scored 14 points and Montana went on a 27-6 run in the second half to pull away with a 73-60 win over San Diego on Sunday night.

The Grizzlies (2-1) trailed 47-44 when Jamar hit a 3-pointer that tied the score with 10:21 left in the game. Will Cherry then hit a jumper to give the Grizzlies the lead for good 30 seconds later.

The Toreros (2-1), who trailed 71-53 at the end of the run with less than four minutes left, made only one field goal in that stretch and committed six turnovers.

Cherry finished with 13 points and Billy Reader 11 for Montana.

Chris Manresa had his third double-double of the season with a career-high 19 points and he tied his career best with 11 rebounds to lead the Toreros.
