PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Portland Police Chief Mike Reese has apologized for saying Thursday it took police three hours to respond to a sexual assault call because officers were tied up with Occupy Portland.
In a statement Saturday night, Reese said a variety of factors affected police resources the day of the call, including a shooting, a serious traffic crash and Occupy Portland events.
