Vancouver police early Sunday arrested a 29-year-old man after a standoff in Fruit Valley.

A press release from the department said Ryan J. Young was arrested for felony harassment domestic violence. The release said police responded about 4:30 a.m. to an apartment complex on Fruit Valley Road for a disturbance “caused by an ex-husband of a resident.”

Officers went to Young’s residence at 2200 Simpson Road, asked him to come outside and he refused.

Members of Clark County Regional SWAT were called, as well as negotiators.

After a three-hour standoff, Young surrendered without incident.

He was in the Clark County Jail Sunday night with bail not allowed.

No other information was available.
