Tide suspends Gentry, White for Ga. Southern game

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Alabama coach Nick Saban suspended defensive end Nick Gentry and wide receiver DeAndrew White for violating team rules.

The third-ranked Crimson Tide announced the one-game suspensions before Saturday’s Georgia Southern game. Both will be back for the Iron Bowl against Auburn.

Gentry is a pass-rushing specialist who has 20 tackles and 312 sacks for the Tide. White has 14 catches for 151 yards and two touchdowns.
