The Clark County Sheriff’s Office on Monday released the name of a woman who died in a fatal car crash near Hockinson on Saturday.

Kristin J. Berger, 51, of Vancouver died after her 1991 Chevrolet Lumina hit a 1994 Acura Legend head on at 12802 N.E. 182nd Ave., near 139th Street. The accident happened about 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

Brooke M. Schroeder, 21, from Battle Ground was driving the Acura sedan. She was injured and transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center after the crash. Schroeder was discharged Monday, a hospital employee said.

The drivers were the only people in the cars.

“At this time, it does not appear that alcohol, drugs or speed were a causing factor,” in the crash, said Sgt. Scott Schanaker, sheriff’s office spokesman.
