SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Spokane Valley police say they arrested a shooting suspect they found hiding in a backyard koi pond.

The Spokesman Reviews says (http://bit.ly/s4QbGn) 23-year-old Aaron P. Williams was pulled from the pond Sunday morning and treated for hypothermia. He was booked into the Spokane County Jail on first-degree assault with a firearm.

The arrest stemmed from a shooting early Sunday in front of a pub. A police dog traced the suspect to the home.

Spokane Valley police said several shots were fired during a confrontation involving two groups of men. One of the men suffered a leg wound that was not life threatening.
