ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Eric Mosley scored 17 points, including six free throws in the final 1:10, as St. Bonaventure defeated Siena 64-58 on Monday night.
Demitrius Conger scored 15 points and Andrew Nicholson had 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Bonnies (2-1), who made 10 of their final 11 free throws to hold off the Saints (2-1).
Siena’s Evan Hymes scored 14 of his 18 points in the first half, helping the Saints lead by as many as eight points, 18-10, with 11:12 left until halftime.
St. Bonaventure scored the final eight points of the half to go into the break with a 29-26 lead, then Nicholson scored the first two baskets of the second half to make it 33-26.
Siena tied the game 45-45 on Rob Poole’s jumper with 10:02 left, but a 3-pointer by Matthew Wright 20 seconds later put the Bonnies ahead to stay.
