Bowling Green beats Detroit 67-61

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) — A’uston Calhoun scored 14 points, Scott Thomas added 10 and Bowling Green went 7-for-7 at the foul line in the game’s final 39 seconds as the Falcons beat Detroit 67-61 Tuesday night.

The Falcons (3-1) remain undefeated in the Progressive CBE Classic subregional on their home court with the second win in as many games.

With the game tied at 52-all with less than five minutes left, Cameron Black’s jumper started a 15-7 Bowling Green run over a 4 12 minute span to put the game out of reach.

The last seven of those points came on foul shots as Calhoun (2-for-2), Jordan Crawford (2-for-2), Luke Kraus (2-for-2) and Thomas (1-for-1) were all perfect at the stripe.

The Falcons scored 25 points off 21 Detroit turnovers while committing just 15 themselves.

Evan Bruinsma led the Titans (2-3) with 17 points, Jason Calliste added 16 and Ray McCallum had 11.
