Despite hip pain, Weis plans to coach next season

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Florida offensive coordinator Charlie Weis says hip pain that has him using a cane won’t drive him from coaching.

Weis says he plans to “coach for a long time,” adding that his wife won’t let him quit.

There had been reports that Weis might call it quits because of his health.
