Seattle rolls by Montana State 85-73

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — Aaron Broussard scored 23 points and shot 70 percent from the floor to lead Seattle University over Montana State 85-73 Tuesday night.

Seattle (1-2) jumped out to a 15-8 lead after a 3-pointer by Broussard at the 12:46 mark before Montana State (2-2) began a 19-7 run over the next eight minutes to take a five point lead, 27-22. In the final five minutes before halftime, Seattle broke a 30-30 tie on a 3-pointer by Chad Rasmussen and capitalized on three straight missed shots by the Bobcats en route to building a 39-33 lead at the break.

Seattle shot a scorching 62.5 percent in the second half while outscoring Montana State 46-40, never allowing the Bobcats to get closer than 10 points in the game’s final 9:13.

Eric Wallace chipped in with 18 points and 8 rebounds for the Redhawks. Xavier Blount led Montana State with 17 points.
