MACON, Ga. (AP) — Griffan Callahan scored 21 points and Nate Wolters added 18 to lead South Dakota State in a 77-60 win over Sam Houston State on Tuesday night.

Callahan was 6 of 12 from 3-point range for the Jackrabbits (3-2), who were 10 of 24 (41.7 percent) from long range in their second win in the Progressive CBE Classic’s Macon subregional. The Bearkats were just 6 of 24 (25 percent) from the arc.

Konner Tucker got Sam Houston State out to an early 9-2 lead with a 3-pointer, but Callahan and Wolters both hit 3s to spark a 10-2 run for South Dakota State’s first lead, 12-11.

After trading leads, Chad White had a layup that put the Jackrabbits back on top for good at 14-13. They led by seven points at halftime and outscored the Bearkats 44-34 in the second to seal it.

Tucker scored 14 points for the Bearkats (1-3).
