ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Kendall Timmons scored 14 points and added 10 rebounds in Tulane’s 57-55 victory over Navy on Tuesday night.

Tulane (4-0), who entered the second half trailing 28-29, opened the period with a 16-7 run to go up 44-36 with 14:31 left to play. Navy fought back to take a two point lead, 55-53, at the 4:24 mark behind a Jordan Sugars’ jumper. Tulane’s defense stiffened up from there, holding the Midshipmen scoreless for the remainder of the game.

Sugars, who finished with 13, scored Navy’s only basket in the final five minutes of action.

Josh Davis added 14 points and Jordan Callahan chipped in with 12 for Tulane. Callahan’s two 3-pointers moved him within 10 3-pointers of cracking Tulane’s top-10 career list.

Jordan Brickman led Navy (2-3) with 14 points. J.J. Avila added 13 points and six rebounds for the Midshipmen.
