6 WA schools win $10K to $20K for improving

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — Six Washington elementary schools are being honored for the progress they have made in closing the achievement gap.

State education officials say the schools will each receive between $10,000 and $20,000 from the federal government for improving student test scores in reading or math or both.
