DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Garrius Holloman scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Bethune-Cookman over Webber International 71-64 on Wednesday.
The Wildcats (2-3) led just 26-20 after a first half in which they shot 22.9 percent from the field (8 of 35). In the second half, however, they outscored the Warriors 51-38 behind 60 percent shooting from the field (18 of 30).
Webber took a 40-35 lead after Dave Marlar’s layup with 12:16 to play before Bethune-Cookman went on a 25-8 run, going up 60-48 on Adrien Coleman’s jumper with 5:48 remaining.
The Warriors, who had six turnovers during the spurt, gave it away 22 times in the game.
