LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — Leonard Washington scored 18 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked four shots to lead Wyoming over South Dakota 67-56 on Tuesday night.

Arthur Bouedo added 14 points for the Cowboys (3-1), including five during a 16-2 run that erased an early 5-2 Coyotes lead.

South Dakota (1-3) was led by Louie Krogman and Charlie Westbrook with 13 apiece, while Steve Tecker added 11. Westbrook scored 12 points before intermission but was 0 for 6 from the field in the second half.

Wyoming led 46-31 with 12:49 to play after two free throws by JayDee Luster. The Coyotes closed to 53-45 on two free throws by Krogman, but the Cowboys stretched the margin to 16 — their largest — after Bouedo’s jumper with 2:44 left.
