Ask the gardening expert

I have heard that lawns should be fertilized about Thanksgiving time. Do you agree?

Yes, I do.

Lawns need another fertilizer application late this month. It will help keep your lawn in good shape.

The better care you give the grass in late fall the more likely your lawn is to make it through the winter and to be in a healthy condition come spring.
