GOLD BAR, Wash. (AP) — A water main break that left the city of Gold Bar dry on Thanksgiving has been repaired.

City crews are flushing lines Friday, and the state Health Department says it’s a good idea for residents to continue to boil drinking water as a precaution.

Test results should be available in a few days.

Officials think a tree root may have broken the water pipe Wednesday night.

Gold Bar provides drinking water to about 2,200 residents along Highway 2 east of Monroe.
