SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Eight people escaped through heavy smoke at a fire that burned a two-story Spokane house converted into apartments.
The Spokesman-Review reports (http://is.gd/xqj7V1 ) firefighters responded just before 5 a.m. Friday and battled the fire for about 90 minutes.
The fire department estimates damage at $30,000.
