NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Ricky Tarrant had 15 points and 12 different players scored for Tulane, which stayed unbeaten with an 83-41 rout of Alcorn State Friday night.

Kendall Timmons added 14 points while Josh Davis scored 12 and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Green Wave (5-0). Jordan Callahan also had 12 points.

Tulane shot 52.9 percent (27 of 51) from the field and 63.6 percent (7 of 11) from 3-point range in the Hoops for Hope Classic on its home court. The Braves were just 28 percent (14 of 50) from the field, including a 15.8 mark (3 of 19) from long range.

Alcorn State jumped out to a lead that wouldn’t last long, as Davis’ 3-pointer tied the game 3-all at the 18:47 mark of the opening half and Tarrant’s two free throws less than a minute later put the Green Wave ahead the rest of the way in a rout.
