Fruit Valley — McCallister Village, 2155 W. Firestone Lane, was awarded a 2011 Community Pride Design award by the city of Vancouver and Clark County. The project was one of six to be honored for its innovative approach to historic restoration, sustainability, community enhancement and commercial development.

The award was established as a way to recognize buildings, development and civic improvements that have a positive impact on the community. The affordable housing development is home to The Boys & Girls Club Teen Center.
