MIAMI (AP) — Laurin Mincy and Lynetta Kizer scored 15 points each to lead No. 8 Maryland to an 84-52 win over Florida International on Friday night.

The Terrapins (6-0) were never threatened after a late-first half run and then expanded a 44-30 lead at halftime with an 18-7 spurt in the opening 6:41 of the second half.

Alyssa Thomas scored six points during the run and Alicia DeVaughn’s inside field goal with 13:19 remaining capped the surge and gave the Terrapins a 62-37 advantage.

Thomas finished with 12 points and Tianna Hawkins scored all 13 of her points in the first half.

Jerica Corley scored 19 of her 24 points in the first half to lead Florida International (2-3).
