FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Marshall Bjorklund scored a career-high 27 points and tied his career best with 14 rebounds, and North Dakota State never trailed in a 78-65 win Saturday over Fresno State.

Bjorklund, a sophomore, was 12 of 15 from the field for the Bison (6-0), off to their best start to a season since going 7-0 in 2000-01. It was Bjorklund’s third career double-double. Jordan Aaberg added 11 points off the bench.

Kevin Olekaibe led the Bulldogs (2-4) with 24 points, but was just 9 of 24 from the field. Jonathan Wills scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

North Dakota State started fast, as Bjorklund scored 12 points to help the Bison take a 20-6 lead in the first 10 minutes. Fresno State didn’t get within single digits the rest of the night.

The win was the Bison’s first against Fresno State, which had won the only three previous meetings.
