SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas (AP) — Keaton Cole and Harouna Mutombo scored 14 points apiece, leading Western Carolina to a 62-46 victory Saturday over winless Florida A&M at the South Padre Island Invitational.

Cole was 4 for 8 on 3-pointers, and Mutombo was 2 for 4. Preston Ross added 13 points for the Catamounts (3-4), and Tawaski King pulled down 13 rebounds.

Brandon Boggs, who scored a career-high 35 points Friday in Western Carolina’s 74-57 loss to Northern Colorado, was held to just eight points on 3-of-11 shooting this time.

The Rattlers (0-6) got 14 points from Reggie Lewis, including four 3-pointers. Yannick Crowder had 11 points and 11 rebounds. Florida A&M shot just 33 percent (16 of 48) from the field.

The Rattlers took their only lead, 4-2, on a D’Andre Bullard layup 1:21 into the game. But Mutombo hit a 3-pointer to put the Catamounts back on top, and Western Carolina never looked back.
