Wind knocks out Nordic combined ski jumping

KUUSAMO, Finland (AP) — The individual ski jump and team competition of a World Cup Nordic combined event has been called off because of strong wind.

Race officials in the Finnish town of Kuusamo said Saturday the cross-country race for the Nordic combined will be held later in the day. The starting positions are to be decided from Friday’s competition.

No further information was given about the team event.
