KUUSAMO, Finland (AP) — The individual ski jump of the Nordic combined World Cup event has been canceled by organizers on Saturday because of strong winds.

Race officials in the northeastern Finnish town of Kuusamo say the Gundersen cross country race will go ahead as planned later Saturday, with the starting positions decided by the results of Friday’s provisional competition round.

Organizers said it is not yet clear whether the team ski jump event that is also scheduled for later Saturday will go ahead.
