Boy, 16, arrested in Portland teen’s stabbing

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Portland police have arrested a 16-year old accused of stabbing another teen in an apparent gang incident.

Salvador Ramirez was charged with assault and booked. Authorities say he stabbed 16-year-old Louie Aguilar in Southeast Portland on Friday night. Aguilar is recovering in a hospital following surgery for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police say the incident appears to be gang-related.
