SEATTLE (AP) — Seahawks wide receiver Sidney Rice left Sunday’s game in the third quarter with a head injury and was ruled out, while linebacker David Hawthorne briefly left the game with a left knee injury.

Rice was hurt early in the third quarter when he hit his head on the turf trying to make a diving catch across the middle. He stood up noticeably woozy and had to be helped off the field. Rice was held without a catch.

Hawthorne came limping off pointing at his left leg after he was caught in a pile in the third quarter. He was replaced by rookie outside linebacker K.J. Wright, who shifted over to the middle to take Hawthorne’s spot.

After being looked at in the locker room, Hawthorne returned early in the fourth quarter.
