San Francisco State beats Jacksonville State 71-68

MORAGA, Calif. (AP) — Nefi Perdomo had 24 points and nine assists to lead San Francisco State to a 71-68 victory over Jacksonville State in the consolation game of the Shamrock Office Solutions Classic on Monday night.

James Albright added 19 points and six rebounds for the Gators (2-5), a Division II squad. Griffin Reilly, a transfer from Loyola Marymount, had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Mason Leggett had 17 points and six rebounds for the Gamecocks (2-5), who played their third game in four nights. Stephen Hall added 11 points and five rebounds.

Jacksonville State went on a 16-7 run to cut San Francisco State’s lead to 65-63 with 45.2 seconds remaining. But Perdomo made a pair of free throws, and the Gamecocks’ Brian Williams missed a 3-point attempt.

The Gators made 3 of 5 free throws in the final seconds to hold on.
