Tacoma officer shoots man in stolen vehicle

TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — A Tacoma police officer shot and wounded a man during a traffic stop Sunday night involving a vehicle that turned out to have been stolen.

Spokesman Mark Best told The News Tribune (http://is.gd/mNK3F7 ) the officer fired several shots after the man put the vehicle in reverse and struck the patrol car.

No word yet on the man’s condition. The officer was not injured.
