PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A woman suffered burns to a hand in an explosion that blew out a widow at her apartment in Portland.

Portland Fire and Rescue says the glass and window frame were blown across the street Sunday night, setting off a water sprinkler in the apartment.

Investigators are looking into the cause of the explosion. Damage is estimated at $15,000.

The Red Cross is helping the woman because her apartment is uninhabitable.
