PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh authorities expect to investigate allegations by a man who says he was molested by former Syracuse assistant basketball coach Bernie Fine in a local hotel room nine years ago.

Commander Thomas Stangrecki of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police says the department is aware of the accusations made by Zach Tomaselli, 23, of Lewiston, Maine.

Tomaselli says he told Syracuse police that Fine touched him multiple times in a Pittsburgh hotel room in 2002. Tomaselli is the third accuser to come forward against Fine, who was fired by Syracuse on Sunday.

Stangrecki says he’s waiting for confirmation from Syracuse police that a report was made as Tomaselli has not contacted Pittsburgh police.
