Texas-Arlington routs Texas-Pan American 92-60

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Kevin Butler scored a career-high 21 points to help Texas-Arlington coast past Texas-Pan American 92-60 on Monday night.

Butler hit 8 of 12 shots and had five steals for the Mavericks (4-2), who snapped a two-game losing streak. LaMarcus Reed scored 13 points and Jorge Redmon had a career-best 12 for Texas-Arlington, which shot 54.2 percent (32 of 59).

Ruben Cabrera and Aaron Urbanus paced the Broncs (2-6) with 14 points apiece, season highs for both players. Kieondre Arkwright added 11 for Texas-Pan American, limited to 34.9 percent shooting (22 of 63).

The Mavericks turned the momentum late in the first half by going on a 14-0 run that changed a 25-25 tie into a 39-25 lead with 3:36 left before intermission.

Texas-Arlington had command of the boards 42-32 and posted 46 points in the paint to 24 for the Broncs.
