ST. LOUIS (AP) — Rams quarterback Sam Bradford was limited in practice after aggravating a high left ankle sprain in Sunday’s loss to the Cardinals.

Coach Steve Spagnuolo said Bradford probably took half of the snaps in practice Wednesday as a precaution. The quarterback said the ankle was sore but otherwise he felt pretty good considering it’s late in the season.

Wide receiver Danario Alexander was a full participant, apparently recovered from a hamstring injury that’s sidelined him the last five games. Safety Darian Stewart remained out with concussion symptoms and hoped he’d be cleared in time for this week’s game at San Francisco.

Punter Donnie Jones was an excused absence and Spagnuolo said Jones had returned to Rams Park by the end of practice. Jones sprained his left ankle on Patrick Peterson’s 80-yard punt return in the third quarter but is expected to be fine.
