MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) — LaQuentin Miles had 23 points and 11 rebounds and Central Arkansas rallied to a 75-68 victory over Tennessee-Martin on Wednesday night, snapping the Bears’ 16-game road losing streak.
The skid dated back to the final game of the 2009-10 season.
Miles topped the 20-point mark for the fourth consecutive game. Jordan Harks added 15 points for Central Arkansas (3-3), which is at the .500 mark for the first time since 2008-09.
The Bears, down 28-15 with 8:13 left in the first half, ran off 16 consecutive points, fueled by Miles and Harks, to lead 31-28 with 2:45 to go before the break. Central Arkansas led 36-31 at halftime.
The Skyhawks (2-6) tied it at 48 with 13:01 remaining, but could not take the lead despite Central Arkansas hitting only 9 of 18 free throws in the second half.
Mike Liabo and Corderio Maclin had 12 points each for Tennessee-Martin.
