NC Central defeats Southern Wesleyan 94-60

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Ray Willis scored 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead North Carolina Central over Southern Wesleyan 94-60 on Tuesday night.

Willis, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Week, led six players in double figures for the Eagles, who improved to 4-0 at home.

Dominique Sutton scored 16 points, Landon Clement and Jeremy Ingram 13, Ebuka Anyaorah 12 and Nick Chasten 11 for North Carolina Central (4-3).

Emanuel Chapman added 11 assists as the Eagles shot 53.3 percent from the field (23 of 60).

North Carolina Central was also successful from the outside, shooting 64.7 percent (11 of 17), compared to just 23.5 percent from behind the 3-point arc (4 of 17) by the Warriors. The Eagles outrebounded Southern Wesleyan 40-35, grabbing 15 on the offensive side.

Nikola Lambic led the NAIA Warriors, who treated the game as an exhibition, with 18 points.
