PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) — Faisal Aden scored 12 points to lead Washington State to a 69-37 victory over Grambling State on Wednesday night.
Cougars post player Brock Motum had the first double-double of his career, scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, six on the offensive boards. DaVonte Lacy added 10 points for Washington State (3-4).
Peter Roberson led Grambling State (0-6) with 12 points and eight rebounds. Xavier Rogers added 10 points.
The Cougars went on a 13-3 run to close the first half and took a 34-17 lead into the break.
Washington State had no trouble running away from the Tigers in the second half, taking a 48-29 lead with 12 minutes left. The Cougars followed that with a 15-3 run that left the Tigers trailing 63-34 with just over 4 minutes left in the game.
