JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) — Chris Prescott scored 16 points to lead St. Peter’s past Siena 51-44 on Thursday night in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opener for both teams.

Yvon Raymond added 15 points and Darius Conley 10 for the Peacocks (2-4), who won their third straight over the Saints and also their third consecutive MAAC opener.

Karee Ferguson scored seven straight points to open the game for the Peacocks, who started things with a 9-0 run and never trailed in the contest. The Saints caught up to them at 40-all on an Evan Hymes jumper with 5:21 remaining, but a Raymond free throw and a Prescott jumper sparked an 8-0 run to seal it for St. Peter’s.

St. Peter’s scored 15 points off 14 Siena turnovers.

O.D. Anosike recorded a double-double to lead Siena (2-4), scoring 12 points and grabbing 10 boards.
