Clemson tries to keep focused with hot start

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris says there’s no time yet for the eighth-ranked Tigers to take a bow for their 5-0 start.

Morris said Monday that he’ll coach his group even harder this week and promised a strong reminder for any player that believes Clemson has arrived — his size 10 1-2 shoe to the backside.

Morris says he’ll be “the biggest rear end there is.”

Clemson became the first team in Atlantic Coast Conference history to beat three consecutive opponents ranked in the Top 25, following wins over Auburn, Florida State and last Saturday’s 23-3 victory at Virginia Tech.

Morris says the Tigers don’t need praise from the coaches since they’re hearing it from family, friends and college football analysts.

Next up for Clemson is Boston College (1-4, 0-2).
