PHOENIX (AP) — The mother of one of the 11 people killed at a Reno air show crash last month threw out the first pitch for Game 3 of the NL Division Series between Milwaukee and Arizona.

Anne Wogan of Scottsdale threw out the pitch before Tuesday night’s game after her family was recognized by the Diamondbacks.

Her 22-year-old son Michael, who has muscular dystrophy, was killed instantly on Sept. 16, when a plane crashed into the stands during the performance. Bill Wogan, her husband, was critically injured and remains in a Reno hospital.

An avid Diamondbacks fan, Anne Wogan paused before throwing the pitch to Arizona reliever Brad Ziegler, kissing the ball and looking upward before letting it go.
