MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. (AP) — Authorities in Douglas County say a hunter in southern Douglas County has found the body of a man with an apparent head wound.

The Roseburg News-Review says authorities on Monday described the death as suspicious and brought in the county’s major crimes team. Deputies would not say whether the wound was caused by a gunshot.

The paper says the body was in grass just off a logging road about 10 miles northeast of Myrtle Creek. No homes are nearby, and no vehicle was found nearby.
