July deliberating ex-Yakama tribal officer’s trial

YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) — A jury in Yakima is deliberating in the trial of an ex-Yakama tribal police officer.

The Yakima Herald-Republic reports (http://bit.ly/onNjnc ) 28-year-old Anthony Hernandez is charged with kidnapping and felony harassment. The trial went to the jury Monday.

Prosecutors say he held a 23-year-old man at gunpoint in September 2009 after finding him in bed with his estranged wife.
