SEATTLE (AP) — A man in a wheelchair who was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle Sunday in Seattle later died of his injuries.

Police say the driver failed to yield the right of way to the wheelchair as it crossed a street.

The injured man, identified as Douglas L. LeFever, was taken to Harborview Medical Center where he died.

KIRO-TV reports (http://bit.ly/pBBhLU) a witness followed the driver and took down the license number.

Police arrested the driver for investigation of vehicular assault. He will now likely be charged with vehicular homicide.
