TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — A mudslide caused by a quick downpour hit the Burlington Northern Santa Fe tracks at 3 a.m. Tuesday at Tacoma.

Spokesman Gus Melonas says the track will be cleared by noon with no delay to freight trains.

There’s a 48-hour safety moratorium for Amtrak passenger trains at the site.
