WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) — The DCU Center in Worcester, Mass., will host the 2012 Fed Cup second-tier group matches between the U.S. and Belarus on Feb. 4-5.

The U.S. Tennis Association announced the site Tuesday.

Serena Williams, a 13-time Grand Slam singles champion, has said she will play for the American team next year.

The Belarus-U.S. winner will advance to a playoff in April that gives that country a chance to return to the top-level World Group and compete for the 2013 Fed Cup title. The losing team will need to participate in a playoff — also in April — that could knock that nation down to the third tier of the competition.
