CLEVELAND (AP) — Browns Pro Bowl center Alex Mack is out of the hospital after having an appendectomy.
Team spokesman Neal Gulkis says Mack was released from the Cleveland Clinic on Wednesday, two days after undergoing the procedure. Gulkis says Mack is “resting comfortably at home and continues to progress well in his recovery.”
Despite having stomach pains and needing intravenous fluids before the game, Mack played all 87 snaps in Sunday’s 31-13 loss to Tennessee. Mack didn’t feel well for several days leading up to the game.
The Browns (2-2) are off this week and won’t play until Oct. 16 at Oakland. Mack has made 36 consecutive starts since the Browns drafted him in 2009.
On Tuesday, coach Pat Shurmur said he didn’t know when Mack would be able to play.
