UNIONDALE, N.Y. (AP) — Veteran forward Jay Pandolfo agreed to terms with the New York Islanders on a one-year contract.
The Islanders announced the deal Tuesday, four days before they open the regular season at home against the Florida Panthers.
Pandolfo, a longtime member of the New Jersey Devils, made the team after being invited to training camp on a tryout basis.
He had one assist in five preseason games. Last season, Pandolfo signed a professional tryout agreement with Springfield of the AHL, and had two goals and four assists in 12 games.
