MCMINNVILLE, Ore. (AP) — Oregon authorities say the car of a missing teenager has been recorded on a service station surveillance camera, and a woman was trying to use a stolen credit card to buy gasoline.

Yamhill County authorities said Tuesday the teenager, 19-year-old Cody Myers of Lafayette, was not in the car.

Myers was reported missing Sunday after he didn’t return from a weekend trip to a jazz festival in Newport. Authorities say his cell phone quit receiving calls.

Authorities say they are expanding the scope of the search, including to Washington state. The Oregon State Police have scheduled a Tuesday afternoon press conference.
