CUPERTINO, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a third victim has died after a disgruntled employee opened fire at a Northern California limestone quarry.
Santa Clara County Sheriff Laurie Smith said Wednesday that two people were pronounced dead at Permanente Quarry in Cupertino, and a third person died later at the hospital.
Smith says seven others were wounded, some of whom are in critical condition.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect, 47-year-old Shareef Allman. They say he fired two weapons during an early-morning safety meeting at the quarry, then may have shot a woman in an attempted carjacking later in the day.
