Vancouver Heights — Around 110 volunteers from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Fairway Village Ward cleaned up Fisher Cemetery on Sept. 17.

The volunteers cleaned grave markers, weeded and picked up litter. Because of their hard work, historic markers are again legible and monuments are sparkling, according to Michelle Simpson, volunteer coordinator for the city of Vancouver.

Anyone interested in volunteering to help with the upkeep of historic cemeteries can contact Simpson at 360-487-8316 or michelle.simpson@cityofvancouver.us.
