LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — Texas A&M is coming off two crushing losses headed into Saturday’s game at Texas Tech.
The 24th-ranked Aggies (2-2, 0-1 Big 12) would be in the national championship hunt but for second-half meltdowns against Oklahoma State and Arkansas. Texas A&M had double-digit leads at halftime in each game but wound up losing.
Texas Tech (4-0, 1-0) is looking to avenge last year’s 45-27 loss as the two teams face off in their final Big 12 game before the Aggies join the SEC.
The game pits two of the country’s worst defenses: Texas A&M is dead last (120th) in pass defense and the Red Raiders are nearly at the bottom (117th) against the rush.
